Since the mentioned city rail system was not used in the post-war period, the tank was forgotten. In the summer of 1989, the vehicle was discovered during renovation works in West Berlin. At the same time, unrest was growing in the eastern part of the city. West Berliners, wanting to help their friends from beyond the wall, restored the tank and put a special urban camouflage on it. Since then, the vehicle has been used during armed clashes and served as a battering ram during the fall of the Berlin Wall in November 1989.\n"}]
